I couldn't agree more. Keep on following God's path for you. He has already taken your heart and has given it to the people of Kenya. Submit wholly to Him, as you have been doing, and He will bless you, bless you, bless you!!!
hey Kristen, It's Emily. I can't find any other way to contact you & I just found your blog today. My mom and dad were in a motorcycle accident on the 29th of July, my mom died and my dad is ok but in rough shape. We had the funeral for her on Sunday August 9th and burial on the 10th. Please pray for strength for our family. I'm proud of you & praying for you. my email address now is ejkrill@gmail.com.
My heart was crushed during a trip I took to Kenya one year ago. Within less than two weeks my life was changed forever. I witnessed firsthand children living in extreme poverty. These precious children have potential beyond imagination; however, living in an environment with no hope reduces the likely hood of this potential being put into practice.
The church I attend in Waukesha (Fox River Christian Church) is teamed up with Manna Worldwide and missionaries in Mombasa. They have established centers that take in these very children living in hopelessness. The disadvantaged children are fed, educated and academically and spiritually at these centers. Due to the new environment the children are put in, they have HOPE.
Kristen--this letter is awesome. Yea--I think that explains the reason why you were there!!!
